Solve using substitution
6x + 2y = 34
2x - 7y = -27

Answer:

6x+2y=34

6x=34-2y

x=(34-2y)÷6........1st euation

2x-7y=-27.....2nd equation

putting the value of x from equation 1st in equation 2nd we will get

2(34-2y)÷6-7y=-27

68-4y-42y=-27×6

-44y=-162-68

-44y=-230

y=230÷44

y=5.2

again putting the value of x in equation 1st

6x=34-2×5.2

x=23.6÷6

x=3.9
