Joseph was a man that had 12 jealous brothers and had dreams that always turned out to be true. He was the favorite so his brothers sold him and then he went to jail after being accused of trying to bed the other Pharaohs wife. Then he got out and helped get Egypt ready for a seven year famine.

Answer: According to Joseph's interpretation, there were to be seven years of plenty in Egypt, followed by seven years of famine. Joseph was able to advise the Pharaoh on how to prepare for the famine and as a result gained the favour of the Pharaoh who promoted him to Prime Minister.
