There are 20 apples and oranges in the store. There are 6 more apples than oranges. Write an equation to find out how many apples are in the store.

Answer:

13 apples

Explanation:

You take out the extra 6 apples from the 20 fruits, leaving 14. Then you divide the 14 evenly, so there's 7 apples and 7 oranges. Then you add back in the extra 6, so there are 13 apples and 7 oranges. Making there 6 more apples than oranges.
