I have 1/2 of a cake left. I need to divide it equally among 3 people. What fraction of the whole cake would each person get ? Please show your work and write your answer in the simplest form.

Answer: You are supposed to divide in this problem. You divide 1/2 by 3 by changing 3 to its reciprocal which is 1/3. Then you multiply 1/2 by 1/3 and get 1/6 s you answer.
