Explanation:

Amanda's speed is 9 mph because 18 divided by 2 is 9.

Marcos speed is 8 mph because you can work backwards from the graph from the second point of (2, 16) to (1, 8) and find the difference of 1, and 8.

The slope is therefore 8.
