What's the first step we should take to solve this equation?
A. Multiply 5 to both sides
B. Add 3 to both sides
C. Divide 5 from both sides
D. Subtract 3 from both sides

This is a way I was told to do it, hopefully it help you. But what you want to do is try and get rid of the number farthest away from x, which would be 3, then you want to get rid of the five because it’s the closest to the x. Think of it as someone who doesn’t like people and they are trying to get rid of them.
