How did you determine which value to use for the constant and which value to use for the coefficient?

A coefficient is a number that is next to a variable. Let’s say the variable is x and the equation is 3x+4. The coefficient would be 3 because it is the number next to the variable. The constant is a number that is not associated with the variable. The constant in the equation above would be 4.
