What is the slope of the line that passes through the points (-8,-1) and (-6,-2) write your answer in simplest form

Answer: -1/2

Explanation:

slope is you know rise over run

which means the equation would look like
(y)/(x), but since there's no graph and line showed up and only have two points given, you should subtract second point and first point (the order doesn't really matter tho), then
(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1), so


(-2-(-1))/(-6-(-8))=(-1)/(2)
