Hard soap needs to be rubbed and put under water before it actually makes soap on your skin, while with soft soap, it almost instantly bubbles. With hard soap, it can slip out of your hand very easily, but with soft soap, all you need to do is put some n your hand and lather your body with it, and it puts a coat of soap on your body.
