Here is one factorisation
32 - (8b^4)^-1 = (1/2)(64 - (4b^4)^-1) = (1/2)(8 + (2b^2)^-1)(8 - (2b^2)^-1)

Or even
32 - (8b^4)^-1 = (1/8)(256 - b^-4) = (1/8)(16 + b^-2)(16 - b^-2)

Both use the difference of two squares ie a^2 - b^2 = (a + b)(a - b)
