Why did the Roman Government divide into the 3 branches, what was the purpose?

Question 4 options:

While the three branches were more challenging to manage, it was necessary in order to govern such a large empire.

They did not split it up, all the power of the Roman Republic stayed in the hands of the emperor, Tiberius.

It is much simpler to manage 3 branches, than 1 large branch.

This was done to ensure that one branch did not became more powerful than the others.

Answer:

D: This was done to ensure that one branch did not became more powerful than the others.

Step-by-step explanation:

Because each branch had a various amount of power and if they didnt divide it into 3 branches, then it would be too much power for just one unit. :)
