Answer: 40 gallons per second

every second, a set number of gallons is emptied from the pool. to find this amount, you essentially have to subtract the one number From one on top of it. Example: 300 - 260 = 40

You can either stop there or continue until you are confident you have the right answer

300 - 260 = 40

260 - 220 = 40

220 - 180 = 40

180 - 140 = 40
