If there is a kite and it is flying fast.. why doesn't it rip?...

The air is holding it up and the way it is built with the cross ( | ) it is sturdy and the kite uses the wind as strength instead of a weakness

Hmmmmm... that is an interesting question. I assume it's because it's a strong material, but I don't know 100%.
