exposition is the rising part of where things start to build up to the point where something big happens, it could be bad or positive, usually it is bad, and then slowly it starts getting better, that is called the resolution, honestly if you think of it like an iceberg, the ice at the point is the part above the water, it’s what the story mainly focuses on, and the other parts are more below the water, so think of it like the exposition starts to rise to the tip of the ice burg, and then starts to fall the other side? does that make sense, i don’t know what to tell you if you are having us write about the story you are referring about because i have not read it but let me know if that helps
