The term "Middle East" means different things to different people. Over the past 100+ years, people from Europe and America used term "Middle East" to refer to different countries of Asia and Africa.

Why do you think different groups of people identify the countries of the "Middle East" differently?

Answer: People Identify these regions differently as they are not confined to any national boarder, or ethnicity, so there is no true definition for those nations.
