Jason is saving up to buy a digital camera that costs $490. So far, he saved $175. He would like to buy the camera 3 weeks from now. What is the inequality used to represent how much he must save every week to have enough money to purchase the camera?

Cost of Camera = $490

Money saved so far = $175

Money required to save in 3 weeks =490–175 =315

Let y represent the money to be saved and x represent the money to be saved per week

Then x = y/3 or 3x = y is the equation
