im not sure if you meant hypertonic or hypotonic but i’ll just give you both :)

hypertonic: the red blood cell will shrink and could possibly die if being placed in a hypertonic solution

hypotonic: if it’s being places in a hypotonic solution, the red blood cell will swell

What would happen to a sample of your red blood cells if they were placed in a hyptonic solution?
