N is a positive integer. (i) Explain why n(n - 1) must be an even number.

Answer:

Since the equation is n(n-1) where n is even, (n-1) will result to an odd number and when multiplied the answer with n( an even number), this will result to an EVEN NUMBER. Therefore, in any number that n can substitute, whether even or odd, the answer will always result to an even number
