I need help simplifying an expression:

(13x + 21) - (5x - 9)

open the brackets then solve.

remember the flip the signs is needed.


((13x + 21) - (5x - 9))/(2)


(13x + 21 - 5x + 9)/(2)


(8x + 30)/(2)

= 4x + 15

Therefore the ans is 4x+15.
