What does waning and waxing have in common ? (for science )

Answer:

They are opposite sides of the same cyclical process; the Moon is new, waxes for 2 weeks until it is full, then wanes for 2 weeks until it is new. Repeat endlessly. so they are almost the exact opposite. one brings life, one takes it away
