Answer:

The wires used in lines are made up of metals such as copper, metals are used because they conduct heat and electricity.

Metals expand when there is increase in temperature and contract when the temperature lowers down, the wires get heated up due to high voltage of electricity that flows through it that increases the vibration of atoms in a metal and leads to rise of temperature. That is why the metala are not strung tightly.
