f(x) = 2x + 1


y = 2x + 1

Subtract sides -1


y - 1 = 2x + 1 - 1


y - 1 = 2x


2x = y - 1

Divided sides 2


(2)/(2)x = (y - 1)/(2) \\


x = (1)/(2)y - (1)/(2) \\

Thus ;


{f}^( - 1) = h(x) = (1)/(2)x - (1)/(2) \\
