Solve the equation.

Two-thirds x = negative one-half x + 5
I WANNA SEE THE MATH PLZ
What is the first step to isolate the variable term on one side of the equation?

So basically you need to do 2/3x+1/2x=5 then you need to add the Xs so convert to 6 which would be 4/6x plus 3/6x = 9/6x then you have 9/6x = 5 then sub which becomes x = 5 times 6/9 x=30/9
