For z (score ) = 1,34 A₁ = 0,9099

The area A₂ from the left tail up to z = -1,43 is

A₂ = 0,07634

Area A₂ is inside area A₁, the area A₃ inside the points - 1,43 and 1,34 is

A₃ = A₁ - A₂

A₃ = 0,9099 - 0,07634

A₃ = 0,83356

Finally area outside the interval - 1, 43 and 1,34 is A ( the area we were looking for) is

A = 1 - A₃

A = 1 - 0,83356

A = 0,16644
