1) A soccer tournament has 4 teams, A, B, C and D. Each team will play the other 3 teams once. In each game the winning team earns 3 points, losing team 0 points and ties earn 1 point to each team. After these games are completed, the two teams with the most points will play in the championship. If teams earn the same number of points then the tie-breaker is whichever team scored more goals.
