∠A = x ( Vertically opposite angles )

Reason : -

If two lines are parallel, vertically opposite angles are equal.

∠C = 59 ( Vertically opposite angles )

Line AB is perpendicular to line CD,

So,

∠B = 90

∠A, ∠B and ∠C are interior angles of a triangle ABC.

Sum of interior angles of a triangle is supplementary ( = 180 ),

x + 59 + 90 = 180

x + 149 = 180

x = 180 - 149

x = 31

Hence, the measure of x is 31.
