The Salem Witch Trials were hearings and prosecutions of men and woman who were accused of witchcraft and or black magic. This happen in Massachusetts around February of 1692 and of May 1693. 200+ people were accused and thirty were found guilty and 19 were killed by hanging. Some people who led the trials were Samuel Sewall, William Stoughton, and the Governor of Massachusetts, Sir William Phips.
