Please help me solve this equation i need step by step explaining 3x + 2= x+4(x+2)

The answer is x= -3
Remove the ()
Collect terms
Move variable to the left hand side and change its sign
Move variable to the right hand side and change its sign.
Collect like terms
Subtract the numbers
Divide both sides of the equation by -2
And your solution should be x= -3
