This chapter is meant to be a little bit of comic relief. What is comic relief? And what part of this chapter is supposed to be a little funny?

Comic relief is a part of the narrative, which may be a sentence, a scene, a dialogue, a paragraph or any other element that has a humorous tone, even if it is quick.

In chapter 10 of "Lord of the flies" we have a quick comic relief when Jack and his gang steal Piggy's glasses. Seeing Piggy bewildered by the lack of glasses has a certain humorous tone and refers to children's games. However, this tone passes quickly when the reader realizes that this was done to make piggy fragile and easy prey.
