Laura’s brownie recipe makes 24 brownies , but this time she wants to double the recipe so that she will have 48 brownies. Her original recipe calls for 2 1/4 cups of chocolate chips. If she has 2 cup of chocolate at home how much more does she need?

2 1/4 doubled is 4 1/2.

(2*2= 4. 1/4*2=1/2)

doubled it calls for 4 1/2 cups

4 1/2- 2= 2 1/2 cups
