perimeter=26

perimeter= (2 times length) + (2 times width)

26= 2(2x-2) + 2(3x-5)

26 = 4x - 6 + 6x - 10

26 = 10x -16

26 + 16 = 10x -16 + 16

10 = 10x

10 ÷ 10 = 10x ÷ 10

1 = x
