This is a real question. Do you know how you say, ma'am and sir? what do you call non-binary people when you're used to saying, ma'am or sir?

Answer:

either ask them if they have a a preference for either, you could also say in letters, "for whom it may concern" or just ask them if they want to be called by name

usually you can ask for there pronouns but probably call them by they/them
