Pond appears to have steam coming off of it after a cold front passes. What is this?

Water is evaporated into another thin film again from pond sample surface. Over the lake, the thin, humid, moist layer is formed then blends with the colder air from of the land. Condensation happens as it cools, and a cloud emerges. It appears like steam emerging from the sea, thus the 'steam fog' nickname
