Explanation:

If we join the 2 semi circles, we get a circle.

We can A = pi*r^2

d= 10, r = 5

Area of circle = pi*5^2 ,

= 25*pi

Since diameter= 10 vertically, it should be 10 horizontally too, but it's divided into 2 because of the 2 semi circles.

Thus, width of each semi circle is 5 cm.

Area of rectangle = l *b

Area = (22-10)*10

Area = 12*10

= 120 cm ^2

Total area = 25pi + 120

= 120 + 25(22/7)

= 120 + 78.57

= 198.57
