The number multiplied by itself

For example 7 to the 2nd power would be the equation
7 x 7 = 49

and 7 to the 3rd power would be
7 x 7 x 7 = 343

Answer:

is multiplied by itself.

Explanation:

2 to the second power is four, and so is 2 times 2.

7 to the second power is 49, and so is 7 times 7.

They are the same thing.

Hope this helps!
