Why did the directions instruct you to draw your observations instead of just writing them down?

According to educational professionals, drawing (or making “Doodle Notes”) observations or notes forces both the left and right hemispheres of your brain to be engaged. When learning new content/ reviewing old content, engaging both hemispheres of the brain allows for that information to be stored as a long term memory, not just a short term regurgitation.
