How is a Variation different from an adaptation?

Answer:

Variation is the difference in DNA among individuals or the differences between populations. Adaptation is a change or the process of change by which an organism or species becomes better suited to its environment. Like when your new pet has to adapt to its new surroundings or how humans adapted back when we were still hunters and gatherers.
