MITOCHONDRION are the only cell organelles other than nucleos who has their own DNA

AND

in plants PLASTIDS also have thier own DNA

AND THIS IS BECAUSE MITOCHONDRIANS & PLASTIDS WERE INDIPENDENT ORGANISMS WHICH LIVED BY THEMSELVES.
