Our earth rotates on its own axis. Due to this rotation, different parts of the earth receive different amounts of sunlight, thus causing morning, noon, evening and night. This variation can occour in the same country too because it can’t be noon with the sun directly overhead everywhere on the planet at the same time, given that the Earth is a large spheroidal body and can point only part of it’s surface at the Sun at any given time.
