HELP! "translate: the product of 8 and a number increased by 2 use x as the variable"

Answer:

The sentence can be interpreted in two ways: 8x+2 or 8(x+2).

The first one would be the product of 8 and a number, increased by 2.

The second one would be the product of 8, and a number increased by 2.

Hope that helps.
