List the numbers in order. I cross them out smallest then biggest and so on until I get either the one in the middle or the two in the middle. If It's only one in the middle that's your answer. If it's two in the middle find the average. In this case the middle two numbers were 85 and 84. 85+84= 169. 169/2=84.5. Hope this helps :)
