What is the simplified form of 4(2x - 5) + 2(3x + Y)?

please explain why (y) turned into 2y ):

Answer:
4(2x-5)+2(3x+y) *First distribute*
8x-20+6x+2y *Add like terms*
14x+2y-20

Explained: It becomes 2Y because you have to distribute everything inside the parentheses by whatever is on the outside. So 2•3X is 6X and 2•Y is 2Y!!
