2. A local theater company put on a performance of Hamilton. They scheduled

three performances and determined that in order to pay for all of the expenses
of the play there would have to be an average of 500 attendees per show. 415
people attended the first show and 489 people attended the second. How
many people would have to attend the third performance inorder for the theater
company to reach their goal?

Explanation:

500x = 415 + 489

500x = 904

/500 /500

x = 452/250

x = 226/125
