You play basketball in your school’s indoor stadium. You have two payment options. Option A is to buy a membership card and pay $2 each time you go to the gym. Option B is to pay $4 each time you go. A membership card costs $20. After how many times will the cost of Option A be equal to the cost of Option B?

Answer:

5 1/2

Explanation:

You would have to pay 5 1/2 times for the cost of Option A to be equal to the cost of Option B.

20+2=22

Now 20/4 equals 5. And another half time because 2 is half of four. Rounding it would make it 6 times.
