A square rug is centered in a square room. Each edge of the rug is 2 feet from the nearest

wall. The room has an area of 100 sq.ft. What are the dimensions of the rug?

I think its 8x8

Explanation:

To find the area of a square room is length times width and I know that 10x10 is 100 so I can assume that the room is 10x10. Now you say the edge of the rug is 2 feet from each wall and 10-2 is 8 so thats how I got 8x8.
