We know that, perimeter of a square is


Perimeter = 4a


4a=54

Divide both sides by 4.


a=(54)/(4)


a=13.5

We know that, diagonal of a square is


d=√(2)a


d=(1.414)(13.5)


d=19.089

Rounding to the nearest tenth, we get


d\approx 19.1

Therefore, the length of diagonal is about 19.1 cm.
