For example, the Cell Theory. The Cell Theory has been changed over and over again, leading to what it is know. People didn't have microscopes when the cell theory was first discovered, so when microscopes came along, we found out more about cells and revised the cell theory.

I would say Scientific knowledge is always being changed and performed in different ways. Scientific knowledge is always being changed as scientist are experiencing and collecting new information everyday using the scientific method. ( please let me know if this is wrong ) !
