For Hussein Amuri it was very frustrating to see that most teachers and most people he read about in English class were white. This is not because there are no black authors or philosophers or others but because in the USA black history is taught as something distanced or different than US history. This makes it seem like there are regular US citizens with their history and then separate to that there is some different black history. This frustrated Hussein Amuri and it led to a push for more black education in schools.
