What would happen if a hot piece of iron were placed in a bucket of water at room temperature? How do you know?

Note* this is a science answer so won't get confused if its a math question

Answer: Eventually, the metal will cool down and warm up. Overtime the metal and the water will come to the same temperature. This happens because the hot metal is giving energy to the water.

Explanation:This process is called thermal equilibrium. It's the same thing as when you put a spoon in hot tea the spoon gets hot and the tea cools down. Hope this helps!!
