What happened after the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003?


Saddam Hussein surrendered immediately to avoid destruction of his country.


U.S. and coalition forces were hampered by bad intelligence and a strong resistance in Iraq.


The war went according to plan and the U.S. and coalition forces pulled out within the year.


The people of Iraq were grateful to be rid of Saddam Hussein and quickly formed a democracy.
